It is imperative in life that you have someone in your life who can give you guidance.  Most ideally that person is where you want to be in life.  Through sports I have been blessed to have had many of those people come into my life.  I look to be that person for other people.

Mentoring?  What is Mentoring?

It is a philosophy that will separate every Ambler Sports Academy families’ experiences from all other previous instructions.  Mentoring is based on taking a holistic view of your son/daughter.  It is about how you son/daughter develops, as a baseball/softball player and as an athlete and as an individual, through sports.  We work with the parents to clearly define how athletics fit into their overall family plan.

CONTEXT FOR EXCELLENCE

Mentoring means assessing a player to determine what they are doing very well, what they are comfortable with, what is unique to them because of their body type and building upon it.  Mentoring is not just showing or instruction but rather ingraining.  Mentoring means ensuring that the player and the parents are aware of the physical, mental and emotional aspects of success on the diamond.  Not just a specific physical skill.  Mentoring is about being co-responsible (with the player and the player’s parents) for actual results.

A philosophy is worthless if it cannot affect the desired change you and we wish in your sons/daughters.  We have assembled a group of baseball and softball “lifers” who not only have a wealth of baseball/softball knowledge and experiences, but also a passion to share it with others.  They were recruited by Amber Sports Academy because they have personally benefited from a similar philosophy in their own competitive pasts and have practiced it with individuals they have coached throughout their careers.  They are committed to making a difference in the lives of our players and their families.
